AROUND 1,000 right-wing marchers filled the town centre on Saturday for a protest which saw 12 arrested in “sporadic outbursts of disorder”.

Members of the English Defence League, British National Party, National Front and white supremacist group Combat 18 were amongst the visitors.

They marched on Main Street Police Station, where speakers called on Police and Crime Commissioner Shaun Wright to step down.
