Driver hurt in smash

A DRIVER was taken to hospital after his car hit a lamppost on a country lane.

The man, in his 20s, managed to get out of the vehicle after the collision on Hangsman Lane, Laughton Common at 9.45pm on Wednesday.

He received first aid from firefighters called out from Aston and Maltby stations before ambulance staff arrived.
