DNA bid to identify Thrybergh body

POLICE are waiting on DNA results to confirm the identity of the body that was found near a country park in Rotherham two weeks ago.

It is understood that the body of a man which was found near Thrybergh Country Park on Sunday, March 14, had been there for around two months.

The remains were found on the field off Thrybergh Lane.

Detectives are continuing the investigation to identify the remains and the cause of death.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

A police spokesman said: “A postmortem has been held on the body of an adult man.

“It established that there are no suspicious circumstances regarding the man's death.”
