TITANS coach Justin Burnell believes that getting the basics right will again be vital at Headingley this Sunday.

The Clifton Lane men head to second-placed Yorkshire Carnegie hard on the heels of last week's victory against Richmond, when they had to put on a solid second half shift on the back foot.

It's likely to be another test at Headingley but coach Burnell says his side will be ready for it.

“It was our defence and discipline which kept us in it against Richmond and I was happy with the win because I thought we needed that to nudge us on for the rest of the season," he said.

"Our aim is to start climbing the table and I think we are more than capable of doing that.”

Sunday's game starts at 3pm and there's all the rugby news on three pages in tomorrow's Advertiser.
