Disappointed at teachers' strike

Sir, With regard to the teacher’s strikes at Rawmarsh Community School,l I am starting to wonder if any of those teachers on strike really do care for the education of their own students.

It makes me feel disgusted that the majority of the teachers on strike actually have a secure job within the school but they still choose to disregard the education of the students.

I would also like to express my disgust in the fact that the teachers get paid by the NUT to be on strike! Yet they only attend for a period of approximately an hour and then go home to enjoy themselves.

The teachers on strike are very aware that this is severely disrupting the education of the students and that it will have major implications on their GCSE results that these students have worked so hard for.

I have no doubt the few teachers who will loose their jobs in September will find another job somewhere else, but I ask my self will the students find another opportunity to get an education they very well deserve?

To those teachers on strike: it is time to thing about others and not yourselves, you will survive you know that, but will your students?
