A PLUCKY paramedic has really hit the heights with her fundraising efforts.

Angela Ord (46), of Maryhill Close in Treeton, has just conquered Africa’s tallest peak.

She climbed Mount Kilimanjaro after months of gruelling training to raise money for the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.

Angela has sent photographic evidence from Tanzania to show that she has reached the summit.

Her father died after suffering a bleed on the brain when she was eight, and she herself suffered a bleed when she was 33 although tests showed it was coincidental rather than hereditary.

A delighted Angela said: “I smashed Kili!”
