Death crash appeal after Wombwell accident

The 71-year-old woman died when she was involved in a collision with a green Mercedes Vito van on Hough Lane, near Wombwell train station.

The 28-year-old driver was turning left from Dovecliffe Road when he collided with the woman at 9.52am on Thursday, June 13.

Police would especially like to speak to the driver of another vehicle believed to have been travelling along Wood Walk towards Hough Lane at the time of the accident.

They urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has information which could assist to call them on 101, quoting incident number 293.
