Date set for Rotherham for child sex trial

A 44-year-old man from Rotherham has appeared before Sheffield Crown Court accused of 14 sexual offences against children dating back more than 20 years.

Lee Wayne Crutchley, of Victoria Street in Dinnington, is charged with three counts of rape, two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl aged under 13, seven counts of indecent assault and two counts of assault by penetration.

He appeared for a plea and case management hearing today and was bailed until June 30, when he will stand trial.

Crutchley is also charged with production of cannabis.
