Court date for man charged with putting police helicopter safety at risk

A MAN will stand trial next year accused of endangering the safety of a police helicopter. 

Joshua Jones (20), of Houghton Road, Thurnscoe, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday where he pleaded not guilty to endangering an aircraft or any person in an aircraft.

Jones is accused of shining a laser pen at the helicopter from his home on Sunday, January 15, this year.

He was granted unconditional bail and will stand trial on February 13 next year.
