Council staff try out clean green truck

ROTHERHAM Council has been trying out a new electric truck in its search for more fuel-efficient vehicles.

The Tata Ace Mini Truck was on loan for trials by council staff.

Council leader, Cllr Roger Stone, said: “Rotherham is committed to promoting the use of new fuel sources and technology and finding more efficient and sustainable ways of providing our services to the public.

“There is great scope for using electric vehicles and we have seen from our experiences in Rotherham what benefits they can bring."
