Cost-cutting packs help reduce carbon footprint

HUNDREDS of housing association residents were given free advice packs to help cut their carbon footprints.

 

South Yorkshire Housing Association’s LiveGreen Team has been handing out thermal socks and energy-saving tips.

LiveGreen Team lead Craig Jackson said: “Making small changes to your lifestyle can mean big savings to both our environment and your fuel bills.”

The packs were funded by the Warm Homes Healthy People Fund in partnership with Rotherham Borough Council.

They also contained a fleece blanket, hot water bottle, flask and vegetable soup portions.

Last year LiveGreen installed solar panels to more than 600 homes across South Yorkshire.
