Conisbrough man charged with child sex offences

A MAN from Conisbrough has been charged with 32 sexual offences against children including rape.

Unemployed Lee Davis (39) — who uses the alias James Parkin — is also accused of sexual activity with a child and taking indecent photographs of a child.

Salesman Anthony Marsh (53), of Hatfield in Doncaster, has been charged with 36 offences including sexual activity with a child and possessing and distributing indecent images of children.

Both Davis, of Rowena Road, and Marsh — who uses the names Tony Taylor and Tony Smith — have been charged with conspiracy to commit sexual activity with children.

Det Insp Delphine Waring, senior investigating officer in the case, said: “Two men from South Yorkshire have been charged with 69 sexual offences against children.

“The offences with which the men have been charged are alleged to have taken place over a number of years dating back to 2005.”

Both men have been remanded in custody. They are due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on September 27 for a plea and case management hearing.

A trial date has been provisionally set for December 2.
