Concern after teenage girl seen getting in car in Mexborough

POLICE said they were concerned for the welfare of a teenage girl seen getting in a car in Mexborough.

Officers are looking to trace the driver of a small metallic blue car seen on Victoria Road, Mexborough, at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, March 28.

Police said the car drove down the road before a man, described as being in his late 30s to early 40s with short brown hair got out.

A girl, thought to be either 14 or 15-year-old then got into the car with the man, before driving off towards Adwick Road.

PC Mark Szabo, said: “At this stage there is nothing conclusive to suggest that any criminal offences have been committed, however we would like to speak to the occupants of the car to ensure their well-being.

"If you were travelling in the car, or know anything about the incident, please call us on 101, quoting incident number 1052 of March 28, 2017.”
