Clark leads Millers chase

ROTHERHAM United expect to unveil their new manager today after completing two rounds of interviews.

ROTHERHAM United expect to unveil their new manager soon after completing two rounds of interviews.

Former Huddersfield boss Lee Clark and ex-Miller Mark Robins last night emerged as favourites after the potential bosses were interviewed this week after a deluge of over 40 applicants was whittled down to a shortlist.

But Chairman Tony Stewart and the Millers’ board could switch tack after late night deliberations with some high-profile names also in the running.

Stewart told the Advertiser yesterday: “We’ve spoken to five candidates, three on Wednesday and two on Thursday and it’s a tough decision to take.

“There are some pretty big names in there and we have been delighted with the interest shown in the job.”
