Cheers to a bigger and better Magna Oktoberfest

MAGNA has promised to serve up a bigger and better Oktoberfest when the event returns in October.

It follows criticism of last year’s debut, when the venue struggled to cope with numbers and visitors complained about the beers on offer.

But tickets have gone on sale for October 2 and 3 and Magna chief executive John Silker said: “We’ve got a great venue here for parties.

“So why go to all the way to Munich when we have our very own Oktoberfest right here on our doorstep?

“This year will be even bigger and better. Oktoberfest is now becoming part of our calendar, much like our Christmas parties, which draw in thousands each year.”

The event will feature German-themed food, continental lagers and two Oompah bands.

There will be a case of champagne for the best Bavarian costume.
