Check your blood pressure, residents urged

Health-conscious Rotherham folk can have free blood pressure tests this week to ensure their “know their numbers.”

Know your Numbers Week – which runs until Sunday — is Blood Pressure UK's annual free blood pressure check week.

The charity says a shocking one in three adults has high blood pressure but a third of those have no idea they have the condition as it has no symptoms.

It is the UK’s biggest silent killer, being responsible for 60 per cent of strokes and 40 per cent of heart attacks and is also a risk factor for kidney disease and dementia.

Residents can accuess free blood pressure checks all week at several locations, including:
