Charity football comes to Rotherham

FAIRTRADE footie comes to Rotherham this weekend when soccer will highlight both Fairtrade Fortnight and Comic Relief.

Around 100 young people aged  from 12 to 19 will participate in the Integrated Youth Support Service's  ninth annual Fairtrade Football Tournament tomorrow.

Organised by Rotherham Borough Council's Integrated Youth Support Service, the tournament aims to raise both money and awareness of Fairtrade Fortnight, which ends tomorrow, as well as this year’s Comic Relief campaign.

The tournament will take place at Eastwood Football Centre on Chesterton Road between 11.30am and 5pm and will comprise two tournaments — for those under and over 15.
