Charity bike show roars into town centre bar

A TOWN centre bar will host a hot rod bike show to raise cash for two charities.

1915 Bar & Bistro will welcome dozens of motorcycles on Sunday, in association with Barnsley bike customisers Down & Out Cafe Racers.

Trophies will be awarded for the best Harley, cafe racer, classic and brat bikes on display at the Domine Lane venue.

The event will also feature live music and a barbecue — entry is free, but attendees are asked to donate what they can afford.

Proceeds will go to Barnsley Hospice and Rotherham and Barnsley Mind, which recently lost funding of £152,000 per year under local authority cuts.

The event kick-starts at 10am — visit www.facebook.com/1915est for more information.
