CCTV appeal after theft from village post office

POLICE investigating a 300 euro theft from a post office have release a CCTV image of men they wish to trace.

Two customers asked for £600 to be changed into euros at Ravenfield Post Office on Moor Lane North, Ravenfield.

After being told they could not send the money abroad they asked for sterling back but left without handing over all their euros.

A police spokesman said: “Officers investigating the incident have been making enquiries in the area and reviewing CCTV. 

“They are now appealing for witnesses and have released a photo of two men who they believe may hold information about the reported incident.”

Anyone with information about the incident, which happened on the afternoon of August 22, is asked to call 101 quoting incident 661 of the same date.
