JANE Harkness knows the Carlton Park Hotel like the back of her hand.

But after cleaning the 80-room hotel every day for 35 years she has finally hung up her feather duster.

Jane (51) retired from her role as head housekeeper last Friday and will now be relocating to Spain with partner Dave Cocker after they “fancied a change”.

The mum of one worked her way to the top of her department after joining the hotel team at 16.

Jane said she would be taking some time out to enjoy Fuerteventura for a while but may take up a similar job role abroad.
