A 32-year-old man working as a part-time school caretaker has been arrested by police on suspicion of theft.

The Bolton-on-Dearne man, was arrested after money and electrical equipment was stolen from Heather Garth School, Billingley View, Bolton-upon-Dearne, where he had been employed.

Items including a digital camera and a computer were reportedly stolen at some time between midday on July 24 and 8am on August 8.

The man has been released on bail until November 2 to allow further enquiries to take place.
