Car overturns on M1 after man dies at wheel
The 77-year-old man was travelling southbound when he collapsed and hit the accelerator before crashing into the barrier at around 11am on Saturday.
His female passenger pulled on the hand brake and the car slid across the carriageway, hit the central barrier, overturned and came to rest.

Hide AdThe driver of the blue Nissan Almeria Tino from Liversedge, West Yorkshire, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at Rotherham Hospital.
The 72-year-old female passenger, also from Liversedge, suffered slight bruising and was treated in the same hospital but was not kept in.
Police officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the manner of driving prior to it to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 356 of December 29.
