Car crash demolishes front of Swinton home

The silver Seat Leon ploughed into the home on Rowms Lane at about 1.15am today.

The car’s front end was destroyed, leaving a large hole around the front door and window of the property.

Police say a blue Seat Altea was also involved in collision with a number of parked vehicles on the street, causing damage.

Residents were evacuated from the damaged house overnight and the road was closed, but it has since been reopened.

No-one is thought to have suffered any serious injuries.
