Canal body probe
A POSTMORTEM examination is due to take place on the body of man who was found dead in a canal in Rotherham.
Police and fire and rescue crews pulled the body from the Sheffield and South Yorkshire canal close to Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday afternoon.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances around the man’s death and the coroner has been informed.
The postmortem tests will take place at Sheffield’s Medico Legal Centre.
