Bus firm assisting police after collision at station

TRANSPORT bosses are working with police to help with enquiries following today’s collision at Rotherham Interchange.

A woman was rescued from under a First service at the Bridgegate end of the bus station today (Wednesday). 

The 79-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Andy Simpson, operations director at First South Yorkshire, said: “We can confirm that there has been an incident at Rotherham Interchange today, which involved one of our vehicles and a pedestrian. 

“We are working closely with the police to assist them in their enquires.”
