Bus changes come into force this weekend

Operator First South Yorkshire has announced a series of service alterations across Rotherham.

Services 1 and 2 will be withdrawn and replaced by a new X1 update which will run between Sheffield, Meadowhall, Rotherham, Wickersley and Maltby.

Routes 7 and 8 will be re-routed to run via Ferham Road instead of Kimberworth Road.

Service 14 will operate every 20 minutes from Monday to Saturday and be re-routed via Wellgate instead of Clifton Lane.

Bus route 22M will be withdrawn and partly replaced by services 7 and 8 on Ferham Road.

There will be new X1 services operating from Sheffield via Meadowhall, Rotherham, Stag, Wickersley, Bramley and Hellaby to Maltby.

The X78 service will operate every 15 minutes from Meadowhall to Rotherham and on Sunday buses will run every 20 minutes.
