Boy attacked while walking home from school

A TEENAGE boy suffered serious facial injuries after being attacked while walking home from school.

The 14-year-old was assaulted near Herringthorpe playing fields last Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A spokeswoman added: “It is understood that the teenager was walking home from school when two male suspects reportedly assaulted him in Middle Lane, Clifton.

“The teenager attended hospital for treatment for serious facial injuries.”

Police enquiries are ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed the assault is asked to call 101 quoting incident 311 of October 23.
