BOXING: Doyle guns for first win

FIGHTER Ray Doyle will look to build on a solid return to the ring when he takes on veteran Karl Taylor next week.

Doyle drew with Craig Tomes in Doncaster last month when he returned from an eight-year exile and he’ll be confident of overcoming journeyman Taylor at Newark Showground a week tomorrow.

Coach Stefy Bull believes the Rawmarsh light welterweight will use the fight as a springboard for a successful career.

“He’s come a long way since his first shot at boxing and Ray put on a cracking display at Doncaster Dome,” said Bull.
