Booze stolen in Brinsworth shop raid

A THIEF stole spirits after smashing his way into a convenience store.

The break-in took place at the Tesco Express on Brinsworth Lane at about 4am on Saturday.

A police spokeswoman said: “It was reported that entry was forced through the front door and a quantity of spirits were stolen.

“A man, wearing a grey hoodie, reportedly loaded the stolen items into a small yellow car and left the scene heading toward the Esso garage.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 171 of  February 3.
