Body-in-boot husband guilty
Raymond Billam (63), was convicted of the murder of Joy Billam, from Goldthorpe, by a jury at Sheffield Crown Court.
Forty-six-year-old Mrs Billam’s body was found in the boot of her purple Ford Fiesta Fusion, which was parked on Doncaster Road, near to the junction with the A635 at around midday last October.

Hide AdShe had been strangled the previous Friday. Billam of Doncaster will be sentenced later this afternoon.
A 16-year-old boy, from Doncaster who previously pleaded guilty to assisting Billam dispose of the body, is due to be sentenced at a later hearing.
Det Chief Insp Sean Middleton said: “This is particularly tragic case that has devastated Joy’s family.
“Raymond Billam is dangerous man and the court heard how Joy endured his abuse for years, which ultimately resulted in her death.
“I sincerely hope Joy's family can now come to terms with her death and find some closure.”
