'Body in boot' murder trial begins

A MURDER trial into the death of a Goldthorpe woman has begun at Sheffield Crown Court.

The body of Joy Billam (46), of Garden Street, was found in the boot of her car at around midday on October 1, 2011.

Post mortem results revealed that she had been strangled.

Raymond Billam, (63), of Guildford Road, Wheatley, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday charged with murder.

Billam has admitted killing his estranged wife, but denies murder.

The case continues.
