Blaze sweeps through top floor of Thurcroft house
THREE fire crews tackled a serious house fire last night (Monday) which spread from the top floor into the roof.
The blaze broke out at the Thurcroft home on Green Arbour Croft at around 5.20pm and fire crews from Maltby, Aston and Rotherham station were at the scene for three-and-a-half hours.
A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said an investigation was underway, although the cause was believed to have been accidental.
No-one was injured.
