Biker in Rotherham fatal smash horror

A MOTORCYCLIST died when he was thrown from his bike and landed on the roof of a car on Saturday.

The 53-year-old man had overtaken a blue Peugeot 206 on the A631 between Tickhill and Maltby.

He collided with the near side of a blue Citroen Xsara travelling the opposite way at about 5.15pm.

The crash—200 yards the Tickhill side of the Scotch Spring Lane junction—caused him to leave Aprilia motorbike and land on a blue BMW Mini heading towards Maltby.

He suffered multiple injuries. No-one else was hurt.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the collision of the manner of driving of any of the vehicles to call 101, quoting incident 915 of March 24.
