A 20-year-old beauty who was bitten by the fund-raising bug while campaigning for the Miss South Yorkshire title is set to continue her charitable efforts.

Jade Mellows has organised an all-singing, all dancing night of entertainment at the Silverwood Miners’ Welfare, off Doncaster Road, Dalton, in aid of Rotherham Hospice, SAFE@LAST and the Hope for Niamh Fund.

It comes seven months after she and her friends raised money for SAFE@LAST with a bikini car wash at the Stag roundabout.

Jade, from Catcliffe, said: “Last year I was raising money as part of the Miss South Yorkshire competition but I really got bitten by the bug.

“I got a lot out of raising money for charity and handing over the proceeds felt great. So now I’m back again.

“The cast has put in a huge amount of effort and I just hope we can attract an audience to reward all our efforts and raise as much money as we can.”
