FORGET Saturday's 55-10 drubbing at Bristol, the focus for Rotherham Titans is now firmly on this week's clash with Jersey.

That's because the Islanders' win over London Scottish, the Exiles also taking a bonus point, means that the Clifton Lane men are now in danger of bring cut adrift at the foot of the Championship. Scottish are now eight points ahead and Jersey a worrying 12 - meanying Andy Key's side simpy can't afford to lose when the Island men head to town this weekend or when the Scots visit a week later.

Said Key: "We know we've got to take the wins, this weekend's game has become so important. We set ourselves a target and we didn't get what we wanted at Bristol so we have to pick that up again now as we prepare to face Jersey and then Scottish.

"We made too many mistakes at Bristol and we have to stop that. Off our mistakes they scored three or four tries."

At Ashton gate, Rotherham were put through the wringer by the table-toppers. Ironically the Lane men went in front through a Caolan Ryan penalty but after that it was one-way traffic as the big guns ran in seven tries through Callum Sheedy (2), Ross McMillan, Tusi Pisi, Joe Joyce, Luke Morahan, Jason Harris-Wright and Tom Varndell.

Titans did pull one back through a sweet spring from the returning Rhidri Davies but it was all too late.
