Prior to this year’s competition, Laura had never taken part in a beauty pageant before.

Laura, who is now being sponsored by Authentic Mental Health, said she is looking forward to the upcoming contest in Chester.

She said: “I have been put in the final after placing fifth last time and will compete again in March representing Rotherham, my home town.

“I am aiming high to win this time. I have been working very hard to build my modelling portfolio. I did a photoshoot recently for Miss British Isles and I have got a few more in the run up to the final in March.
