THREE Rotherham firms were celebrating after picking up prizes at a showcase of the region's best businesses.
Council repairs contractor Morrison Mears, Hellaby-based security firm Pyronix and Treeton’s Bliss Internet all took trophies at the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards night at Magna on Friday.
Pyronix won the Excellence in Customer Service, Morrison Mears took the Skills Development Award and Bliss Internet triumphed in the Most Promising New Business category.
This year’s awards saw 14 businesses, charities and individuals honoured, with five shortlisted in each category.
Cannon Hall Farm, near Barnsley, was crowned the Business of the Year.
This year also saw the Chamber present their Charity of the Year award, sponsored by Fortem, to City Hearts UK, who received £3,000 prize money and will become this year's Chamber Charity of the Year.
