Award for Rotherham health scanning team

Rotherham Diagnostics Centre on Greasbrough Road has been named the Best Diagnostic Team of the Year by the Yorkshire and North Trent Regional Radiographer Committee. 

The centre beat off stiff competition from other healthcare providers thanks to its successes in patient care, its strong teamwork and the positive feedback it received from both patients and referring GPs.

Staff from the centre will travel to the House of Commons to represent the region at a dinner where they will receive their award and the overall national best team will be named.

Service manager Jo Hodgson said: “This award is a fantastic tribute to the commitment and care my clinical team at the Rotherham Diagnostic Centre demonstrate time after time.”

Since opening in March last year, Rotherham Diagnostic Centre has been providing X-rays, ultrasound and MRI scanning facilities to NHS patients throughout the region. 

The centre has cut waiting times in the region for diagnostic services substantially since opening its doors.

The team operates out of Rotherham Community Health Centre and is run by Care UK on behalf of NHS Rotherham.
