Arsonists strike three times in one night

FIREFIGHTERS managed to stop an arson attack from damaging an industrial unit.

Crews from Maltby and Edlington were called to a small unit on Lincoln Street, Maltby, at around 12.40am on Thursday.

A spokeswoman said the blaze was outside of the building and did not spread to the inside.

Arsonists also set rubbish on fire on Lindsay Place, Swallownest, at around 7.25pm.

A crew from Aston was at the scene for 15 minutes.

Tyres were also set on fire on Roughwood Road, Kimberworth Park, at 7.50pm.

Rotherham station dealt with the incident in 30 minutes.
