Arsonists' bin blitz keep firefighters busy

A SPATE of deliberate bin fires were started by arsonists over the past 24 hours.

Several wheelie bins were torched on Fenton Road, Kimberworth Park on Sunday (February 25) evening.

A fire crew was called out at 7.10pm and spent 20 minutes at the scene.

At 1.45am this morning (Feb 26), a fire crew was called out to douse a deliberate fire in an industrial bin on Canklow Road, Canklow, where they spent 15 minutes at the scene.

Another bin was targeted on Canklow Road at 4.40am which a fire crew took 15 minutes to bring under control.
