Appeal over missing Rotherham man

POLICE are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a 41-year-old man who has been missing from home for a week.

Saleem Meherban, who is from the Rotherham area, was last seen leaving Rotherham General Hospital at 3pm on last Tuesday (13).

A police spokeswoman said: "Saleem is known to travel extensively throughout the South Yorkshire area using public transport and also travels abroad. He stays regularly at hotels and in bed and breakfast accommodation.

"Saleem suffers from medical problems and police are concerned for his well-being."

Mr Meherban is described as being between 6ft and 6ft 2ins tall, with a stocky build.

He has short curly hair and was last seen wearing black trainers with white laces, blue jeans and a green coloured zip-up jacket.
