Appeal after horror gang attack in Kilnhurst

A MAN needed surgery after being attacked by a gang, who also set a dog on him.

The 39-year-old suffered a broken jaw and serious arm wounds including dog bites.

Police said that he challenged a group of three men behind TES Solutions at Kilnhurst Business Park on Glasshouse Lane, Kilnhurst.

One of the men is believed to have jumped from the top of an old electricity sub-station, punching the victim to the face and knocking him to the ground.

The dog—similar to a Staffordshire or pitbull terrier—was then encouraged to attack the man, causing serious injuries to his right forearm.

Two of the men held him down and punched him repeatedly.

The victim’s screams alerted nearby staff, who came to help and called 999 as the group and the dog escaped across an old pit top towards Rawmarsh.

An ambulance took the injured man to Doncaster Royal Infirmary after the attack, at 7pm on Thursday (5).

His condition was described as stable on Saturday as he awaited surgery.

The first attacker is described as white, in his late teens or early twenties, of stocky build and with short, dark hair. He was wearing a light-coloured T-shirt.

His accomplices were also described as white, one around the same age but the other younger at around 16 to 18.

This man had light or blond-coloured hair and was wearing a black T-shirt with a silver or white motif on the front.

The dog was a light brown or yellow colour and was about two feet tall.

Detectives believe that due to the amount of blood lost by the victim, the gang and dog would have been covered in blood.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
