Abuse survivor Sammy Woodhouse: "Mad Ash claimed he had cancer claim to keep me"

PAEDOPHILE Arshid Hussain pretended he had terminal cancer in a vain attempt to get back with child sex abuse victim Sammy Woodhouse, her new book reveals.

“Mad Ash” had groomed Sammy (pictured) when she was 14 and he was 24, twice making her pregnant.

Hussain made up the cancer story when she allowed him to see their son years later — after he had been confined to a wheelchair from a 2005 gunshot wound.

Sammy (32) said: “One day Ash started to tell me that he wasn’t well at all, and that in fact he had cancer and didn’t have long to live.

“It never occurred to me that anybody could claim they had cancer when they didn’t. It turned out to be a cruel pack of lies.”

Hussain, now 42, was jailed for 35 years in 2016 for 23 offences after one of the country’s biggest child sex abuse trials.

Sammy relates the cancer claim in her book Just A Child.
