£50m McLaren factory to go before planning board

MCLAREN’S proposed £50 million factory in Rotherham will go before the borough’s planning board on Thursday (20).

The supercar producer will create 200 jobs with the development making chassis at Whittle Way, Catcliffe, under the plans.

The centre could bring £10 million a year to the local economy, it has been predicted.

A report from officers to Rotherham Borough Council planning board members recommended they grant permission for the factory.
