Hide AdA council spokesman said: “The mental health support in schools service is well-established and performing well with a continued demand for the service.
“There are currently 12 secondary, 14 primary and one special school receiving the service.
“Since last April, 504 children and young people have been referred to the service. The majority of these referrals are from schools.
“It is therefore appropriate for this service to be recommissioned.”
