VIDEO: Singing in the drain? Plumber Paul records England Euro 2016 track

SINGING plumber Paul Ballington has once again swapped his plunger for a microphone... this time to record a Euro 2016 track.

Dad-of-two Paul, from Throapham, has recorded I’d Love it - in the hope it will see the Three Lions roar to success in France.

He has also recorded a full music video which features scenes shot in the Butchers Arms, Woodsetts, and him driving around the village in his van.

Paul (38) said: “As the song goes I’d love it if England could do well and give everyone something to celebrate.

“I think that’s every football fan’s dream and I am sure that most people will be able to relate to the lyrics.

“The song captures the passion we have for the game and it sums up how it makes you feel when England does well.”

Paul has been writing songs for 18 years, starting with little ditties and birthday songs for friends and family.

Last summer, Paul performed at the Tour De Yorkshire’s Tour Celebration in York after being invited by organisers to sing his purpose-penned track Get On Your Bike.

That song was followed by the YouTube success of Santa Claus, Am I Naughty or Nice? recorded to raise funds for Parents Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia, which is based at Sheffield Children’s Hospital  and World Cup track England In Brazil.

One of his new tracks, which parodies the activities of accident claim companies, was recently transformed with the addition of an animated video.

Paul added: “The whole ‘singing plumber’ started because I love singing and making people laugh and although I like my day job as a plumber, singing is what I want to do. “Hopefully my light hearted lyrics will put a smile on people’s faces as they cheer on the lads in France.”

The single is available to buy on Amazon and iTunes.
