VIDEO: Carnival costumes at the Town Hall

CARNIVAL organisers have set up samples of the colourful costumes which will grace Rotherham's streets this September.

The Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Maggi Clark, helped Vicky Hilton and Ruth Cummins put on the Town Hall display.

Rotherham Carnival, dubbed the People's Parade, is the brainchild of Open Minds Theatre Company.

Inspired by records of medieval parades through the town, they promise music, costumes and performance arts reflecting Rotherham's diverse population.
