Treeton’s Jaime-Lee is Miss Universe Great Britain

The 26-year-old from Treeton clinched the title in Cardiff on Saturday..

The former Miss Scuba International winner — who runs the Faulkners Beauty Salon on Brinsworth Road, Brinsworth — will now represent Britain for the world title.

Jaime-Lee was helped on her way by votes from local wellwishers following a last-minute appeal last week.

She said: “It is such an honour to be representing Great Britain at Miss Universe.”

Fellow Rotherham beauty queen Laura Gregory (28), from Laughton en le Morthen, who recently took the Miss Diamond UK title and is participating in the Miss Regency International competition in Las Vegas this weekend (July 31), tweeted: “I was like a proud sister watching Jaime-Lee. She’s worked very hard and it really paid off. She looked stunning and her couture gown was incredible.”
