POLICE have reopened the road where a motorbike and car crashed this morning (Wednesday).

The incident on Golden Smithies Lane, Manvers, near to the hand car wash occurred at around 9am.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the crash involved a motorbike and a black Mercedes.

She added, the motorcyclist - a man - was taken to hospital, believed to be via the air ambulance, but the spokeswoman added the severity of his injuries was not yet known.

Stagecoach said its 22X and 222 bus services which were diverted due to the closure were now back to normal.
