TRAFFIC: Major delays after crash on M1 near Rotherham
MOTORWAY congestion is currently building after a crash on a busy motorway junction.
The AA’s traffic live tracker (pictured) said three lanes are closed and traffic was queuing for four miles due to a crash near junction 35 of the southbound M1 at about 3pm.
Lanes two, three and four remain closed, according to the traffic aid website, which said there were also delays of 37 minutes and rising on the M1 southbound due to the crash.
National Highways Yorkshire warned motorists that emergency services were in attendance between junctions 35a and 35, causing reduced capacity, and put the queue at five miles long.
